An attempt of the december Baltic (1999)
Early December, 1999. A one-week voyage to Sweden on board the “Joseph Conrad”.
Only our captain and crew were good. What was bad? Particularly, the weather but also the yacht.
Driven by the incessant storm, we finally reached Gdansk using the emergency helm, without electricity, heating and also the life raft because it was washed away during the night watch.
As it turned out, the adventures were interesting for the monthly magazine “REJS”. An account of the voyage was soon printed and was the beginning of long-term cooperation.
