Scamp Team Poland (2002)
It began last winter, this time with a phone call instead of the usual letter.
I did not know Marek Muzykiewicz when dialling his number to ask him to include me on his crew, and neither did he, know me. Nevertheless, a few moths later I stood on board the “Scamp”. And so I became a member of the regatta team “Scamp Team Poland” organised by Marek.
As it shortly transpired this was one of the most interesting Polish regatta projects of the last years.
Thanks to the charisma and skills of Muzykiewicz, our large crew was in the leadership of not only the regatta routes (among others in second place in the Polish IMP Championship in Gdynia) but also during the struggles on land. It was an unusual time.
Shortly after Marek passed away and with him, the ambitious plans of the “Scamp” crew.
